Case Study: Benefits of Search Engine Optimization

IT Computer Support of New York began a working relationship with a company that was losing sales due to an outdated website.  The company had a large client base and was content with just a "web presence".  ITCSNY met with the company and enhanced the website aesthetically and functionally.  Within two months the client’s web traffic had more than doubled and for the first time they were receiving first page rankings in Google and Yahoo.

Initially ITCSNY assessed the state of the company’s website.  The initial analysis showed that the website lacked search engines optimization and that much of the website was outdated or in some cases nonfunctional.  Further analysis showed that on average the website was receiving less than 50 visitors a day, most of which were returning customers.  The amount of work it would take to salvage the existing website would be more costly than to build an entirely new web-presence.

IT Computer Support worked closely with the client over the next month to assure that all of the companies needs were met.  SEO concerns were addressed and ITCSNY worked to make sure that the new layout of the website was both more functional and aesthetically pleasing.  Additionally, ITCSNY helped prepare new content that could grow as the company did.  The new website statistics speak for themselves.

Prior to the involvement of ITCSNY, the client’s website had failed to show up in the first five pages of the top three search engines(Google, Yahoo, and MSN)for  all except the company’s name.  This limitation meant that very few NEW customers were finding the company.  With the new format, optimization and key content the client’s new website attained multiple top 10 rankings.  Additionally, the company soon found their internet traffic increased from 50 visitors a day to an average of 135 visitors a day.  This meant that the number of potential new customers to find the company via the web had more than doubled.

Over the following months the company’s website continued to show incremental improvements.  ITCSNY continued to work closely with the client to assure that any and all concerns were addressed quickly and efficiently.  Along with looking into additions the company requested, IT Computer Support of New York has continued to monitor the company’s ranking statistics.  By posting a vigilant watch IT Computer Support of New York has assured that the client will receive the best search engine rankings now and into the future.
